The name of the Hungarian National Dance Ensemble accurately expresses the company's mission at home, in Europe and overseas, its responsible and professional work for the promotion and recognition of the Hungarian folk dance treasure of the Carpathian Basin. The Hungarian National Dance Ensemble, as its name reflects, is a dedicated guardian and transmitter of the treasures of our national heritage and tradition.

The Hungarian National Dance Ensemble is one of the largest professional folk dance companies in Hungary with more than twenty couples. Its "mother tongue" is the folk dance treasure of the Carpathian Basin, from which a diverse repertoire is built, ranging from large-scale historical dance performances to authentic folklore shows, from dramatic dance theatre performances to fairy tales based on our folk traditions. All productions have in common an extraordinary dynamism, virtuosity of dance and spectacular scenery.

The ensemble's dance performances are regularly seen in Budapest, in the countryside and in Hungarian-inhabited areas of the Carpathian Basin. The dance company is also frequently invited to perform in countries all over the world
