Information for the 2025 tourist season
Dear Partners!
Many of you already know that my second son will be born soon (in December), so I will no longer be a tour guide this year. However, my colleagues are available and you can count on me again for the 2025 season :) Good news from Budapest:
In 2025 I will launch a new segment, incentive trips and team building trips. Of course I will continue to help organise the "normal" tour groups, but from now on I will also work with higher quality groups.
I will also work with new partners, so I will be able to offer more options in terms of meals, accommodation and boats.
As I work with many groups, in 2025 I will give each group an ID number to make it easier to check emails.
In 2025 we will always include the guide's licence number! From this year on, expect a lot of controls from the Hungarian authorities, as according to Hungarian law only guides with a Hungarian ID card can lead tours in Hungary. During a raid, the authorities will ask for a Hungarian ID card, otherwise the group organiser could face a fine of several thousand euros. Fortunately, we only work with legal guides, so our partners do not have to face this unpleasant experience.
The renovation of the Royal Castle and Gellért Hill will continue in 2025. Unfortunately it is still not possible to stay on Gellért Hill (you can walk up, but it is not convenient for a large group). You can walk around the castle, but unfortunately the Royal Palace is under renovation.
There will still be a lot of events in the centre of Budapest in 2025, so expect closures on many weekends. I will keep you updated on my Facebook page.
