New Year's Eve in Budapest - what to do?
Spending New Year's Eve in Budapest this year, but don't know what attractions to choose?
In the morning, of course, I recommend a short tour of the city, say from 10:00-14:00, to see the sights of Budapest. Our guides will help you learn all the highlights!

Then have a tasty lunch at places like Drum Café, Gozsdu Lángos or Szeged Restaurant. A good Hungarian lunch will come in handy to give you energy for the night party!
After a short afternoon nap, go ice skating, a true winter attraction in Budapest.
Or take a stroll through the city center, along the banks of the Danube, or visit the Christmas markets! You can even take a boat trip if you're in the mood for something cozy.
If you prefer to do something warm, relax in the pool, in the afternoon.
Then you can sit on the Ferris wheel in Elizabeth Square or have a glass of mulled wine and get in the mood for the evening!
In the afternoon, the city gets in the mood for fun: you can buy bagpipes, funny hats and lanterns on the street. Real street parties, drinking and laughter are part of Budapest New Year's Eve. Around 6pm, many people are already walking around, blowing their horns, but it's not until 9pm that the real party begins. Around midnight there are fireworks, music and crowds around the Basilica and Vörösmarty Square.
Of course, you don't have to be on the streets, there are plenty of places to party!
